From the centre the chauffeur leaves by the Kleinpolderplein onto the A13, past Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Delft to the Ypenburg junction, and then north on the A4 past Leiden to the Schiphol exits. From the Kop van Zuid, Feijenoord or the port side the A4 through the Beneluxtunnel and Midden-Delfland is often the better road. Either way it is motorway from the ring to the terminal, which is why the drive is a working hour for most of our guests: calls made, the laptop open, water and chargers within reach.
What happens at the airport end does not change from one Rotterdam booking to the next. Your inbound flight is followed, so a delay moves the pickup and not the price; a chauffeur stands in the hall with a sign; the car sits in whichever garage is closest to that hall; and an hour of waiting after touchdown is already paid for, which is roughly what the belt and passport control take. Then the A4 south — to a hotel on the Weena, an apartment on the Wilhelminakade, a house by the Kralingse Plas, or straight to an office in Brainpark with the meeting already running. Departures want three hours’ notice or more, and the hall you are dropped at is checked against your flight before the car sets off.
Two things make Rotterdam different from other airport runs.
