Is Keukenhof doable for seniors or wheelchair users, and how close can the car get?
Yes, with planning: Keukenhof’s park rules allow wheelchairs, and in the 2026 season it lent non-electric wheelchairs you could reserve online and welcomed visitors’ own electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters. With 15 km of paths you choose how much to see, and a chauffeur sets you down at the entrance rather than in the car park, with a folding wheelchair or walker in the trunk. Our cars have no ramp or lift, so a passenger who must stay seated in a wheelchair needs a specialist accessible-transport provider.

|---|---|---|
| Business Class, Keukenhof day at an easy pace | €65 / hour | per hour · minimum 2 hours · 40 km included per hour · E-Class, EQE, EQE SUV, BMW i5, BMW 5 Series · up to 3 passengers, 3 bags |

Minimum 2 hours, starting and ending in Amsterdam; a 4-hour day is €260 in Business Class. Mention a walker or folding wheelchair when you book so it travels in the trunk; a Van Class car has higher seats and room for up to 7. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20–26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

A gentle Keukenhof day
- Pick a later arrival time. Late morning, after the first rush, so nobody has to be up at dawn.
- Set down at the entrance. Not in the car park: the walk starts at the gate, with the wheelchair or walker out of the trunk first.
- One pavilion, one loop. Start indoors, follow a short route outside, and stop for lunch; three hours is plenty.
- A field on the way home. Your chauffeur pulls over where it is safe for a look at the tulip fields from the car.
Related questions
Can I rent a wheelchair at Keukenhof?
In the 2026 season Keukenhof lent non-electric wheelchairs that you reserved through its website; electric ones were not available. Check keukenhof.nl for the 2027 arrangement, and reserve early for a busy date.
Are mobility scooters allowed at Keukenhof?
Your own, yes. Keukenhof does not rent them out, so bring one if you need it and tell us the size when you book, so we can check it fits in the car.
How much walking is Keukenhof really?
As much as you want: all the paths together are about 15 km, but the park is easy to see in parts, and the pavilions give shelter and somewhere to sit.
What should I tell AmstelCab about a wheelchair when I book?
Whether it folds, roughly how big it is, and whether the passenger can step into a car seat; then the right car comes and the chauffeur is ready for it. Business Class costs €65 an hour, and nobody is rushed back to a bus.
