What is a good private day tour from Amsterdam for seniors?
Choose places where the car can stop close by and the walking is optional: Zaanse Schans, Edam and Volendam are a loop of only about 65 km with short drives between stops, and Keukenhof (open March 18 to May 9 in 2027) lends non-electric wheelchairs you can reserve in advance. Book the car by the hour so the chauffeur waits at every stop and nobody hurries — €65 an hour in Business Class, €325 for a 5-hour day, or €80 an hour in Van Class for up to 7.

Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Making the day comfortable
- Keep the drives short. A loop close to Amsterdam leaves more time for rests than a long drive to Giethoorn.
- Reserve a wheelchair where offered. Keukenhof lends non-electric ones on reservation.
- Book a little longer than you think. Extra hours at the same rate are cheaper than rushing.
