When should I visit Keukenhof in 2027 to see the tulips at their best?
Aim for April 15 to 30, 2027, the fortnight Keukenhof itself calls peak bloom, when the larger tulips flower alongside daffodils, grape hyacinths and fritillaries. Go on a weekday with the earliest arrival time you can get, and avoid Saturday, April 17, when the Flower Parade passes Lisse. Before that, from March 18 to April 14, the park shows crocuses, hyacinths and small tulips, and May 1 to 9 brings the last late tulips.

Book the date first, then the car
Tickets for 2027 go on sale on October 15, 2026, and each one is for a fixed date and arrival time. Keukenhof says prices vary by day, so the ticket shop is also where you see which dates cost more. Once you have the date and time, book the car around it: see what time the driver should pick you up.
If the weeks around Easter or King’s Day are the only ones that fit your trip, they still work; plan for an early arrival time and read the page for Easter or King’s Day.
Related questions
When do the tulips usually peak at Keukenhof?
In the second half of April: Keukenhof’s flower report marks April 15 to 30 as peak bloom for 2027, when the larger tulips open. The weather of that spring moves it a little either way, which is why the park publishes bloom updates once it is open.
Is late March too early for Keukenhof?
Not if you like spring bulbs in general: from opening day the beds are full of crocuses, daffodils and hyacinths, and the indoor pavilions have their own shows. For tulips in full color, both inside the park and in the fields around Lisse, the second half of April is the safer choice.
Which days are least crowded at Keukenhof?
Keukenhof does not publish visitor numbers per day, so nobody can promise a quiet one. A weekday that is not a Dutch holiday, with the first arrival time at 8am or a late-afternoon one, gives you the best odds; the gardens stay open until 7pm.
Will the tulip fields around Lisse flower at the same time as the park?
Roughly, but they follow the growers’ calendar, not the park’s: once a bulb has had what it needs, the flower is topped, and a field can turn from red to green within days. Late in the season, some fields may already be cut.
