My Keukenhof 2027 ticket has a time slot — what time should my driver pick me up?
Have the car reach Keukenhof about 15 minutes before the arrival time on your ticket: from a hotel in central Amsterdam, 39 km and about 42 minutes on a clear road, that means a pickup roughly an hour earlier, and from Schiphol, 21 km away, about 45 minutes earlier. The time on the ticket is when you go in; after that you can stay until the gardens close at 7pm, and guests we drove in 2026 typically spent four to four and a half hours inside.

Our planning rule: drive time on a clear road (42 minutes from central Amsterdam, 26 minutes from Schiphol, OpenStreetMap routing) plus 15 minutes. On April weekends, when the last kilometers into Lisse are slow from mid-morning, plan 20 to 30 minutes more. From the Schiphol arrivals hall, add your own time through passport control first.
What is included in the price
- A fixed price confirmed at booking, with VAT included: no meter and no surge
- The chauffeur’s name, car and phone number before pickup, plus e-mail reminders 24 hours and 2 hours ahead
- Water and phone chargers (iOS and Android) in the car
- Status updates to the person who booked, if that is not the passenger: confirmed, chauffeur en route, guest in the car, arrived
How the day runs
- Book the pickup time from the table. Put the arrival time on your ticket in the booking notes, so the chauffeur knows the deadline.
- Set down at the entrance. The chauffeur drops you and stays nearby for the hours you booked.
- Message the chauffeur when you head out. You have the name and number before pickup, so the car is at the entrance when you come out.
- Back to the hotel. About 42 minutes on a clear road, longer at the end of a sunny afternoon.
Related questions
What happens if traffic makes us late for our Keukenhof time slot?
Keukenhof does not publish a grace period for late arrival; its rules say a ticket is valid on the day and at the time it was issued for. That is why we plan 15 minutes of margin, more on busy days, and if the road is blocked, message Keukenhof as well as us.
Can we go into Keukenhof earlier than the time on our ticket?
Plan on the printed time. Keukenhof sells every ticket for a fixed date and arrival time and does not say that earlier entry is allowed, so arriving 15 minutes ahead is enough.
Do we have to fix the return time when we book?
No. Booked by the hour, the car is yours until the time runs out: estimate the hours, and if the afternoon is lovely and you stay longer, the extra time is billed at the same hourly rate.
What is the latest arrival time worth booking?
Last entry is 6:15pm and the gardens close at 7pm, so a late-afternoon time gives you two to three hours in the park, often with fewer people. Pair it with a morning in Amsterdam or at the tulip fields.
