One day in Amsterdam with an early flight the next morning — how should I plan transport?
Book both rides together before you fly: Schiphol to your hotel on arrival (€90 in Business Class) and the hotel back to Schiphol for the early flight (€80, the same at 4am as by day), €170 per car for the pair. Then pick a hotel with a short drive to the airport and near what you want to see — the Museum Quarter is about 16 km from Schiphol — and use trams or your feet in between.

Book both more than 12 hours ahead to avoid the 10% short-notice surcharge. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Getting the logistics right
- One booking session, two rides. Arrival with your flight number; departure with a pickup time about 3 hours before your flight minus the drive.
- Ask the hotel about bags. Most rooms aren’t ready in the morning; a bag drop means you start sightseeing at once.
- Keep the evening near the hotel. An early start is easier if you are not crossing the city at midnight.
- Check the reminder. You get an e-mail 2 hours before the morning pickup, with the chauffeur on My Ride.

Can I leave my luggage in the car during the day?
Not on two one-way transfers; drop it at the hotel. If you want a car with you all day, book one by the hour for the day in Amsterdam and the bags stay in the trunk.
Is it worth staying at the airport instead?
For a single day in the city, usually not: you would lose the evening in town. See airport hotel or early pickup.
What if my arrival is delayed and my day gets shorter?
The arrival pickup follows the flight at no extra cost, and the next morning’s ride stays as booked unless you change it.
