How do I get to Schiphol at 4:30am from my Amsterdam hotel?
Book a car the day before for a pickup around 3:50am: at that hour the drive from the canal ring takes roughly half an hour, and AmstelCab charges the same fixed €80 in Business Class to Schiphol as at noon, with the chauffeur’s name, car and phone number sent to you in advance. At that hour the rail option is NS’s hourly night train from Amsterdam Centraal, which suits you only if your hotel is a short walk from the station.

The night before

- Ask the hotel to hold breakfast or a coffee. Or skip it; you will be at Schiphol well before the cafés matter.
- Down to the lobby at pickup time. The chauffeur loads the bags and confirms your departure hall from the flight number.
