Keukenhof with a baby or toddler: what do I need to know?
Keukenhof’s park rules allow strollers and buggies, children under 4 go in free, and in 2026 you could eat your own food in the picnic area, which helps with small children. Keep the day short with an early arrival time and let the car do the napping: booked by the hour, the stroller and changing bag stay in the trunk, and child or baby seats are fitted before pickup at €5 each. A 4-hour day from Amsterdam is €260 in Business Class or €320 in Van Class.

A nap-friendly morning
- Book the 8am arrival time. Pickup in Amsterdam a little before 7am; most toddlers are awake anyway.
- Two to three hours inside. One loop, a picnic, and back before the midday crowd builds.
- The nap happens in the car. About 42 minutes back to Amsterdam, in a seat fitted for your child.
- Afternoon at the hotel. A 4-hour booking is enough for this plan: €260 in Business Class.
Related questions
Can I rent a stroller at Keukenhof?
Keukenhof does not offer stroller rental on its current website, so plan to bring your own; its park rules allow strollers and buggies on the paths. With a car the stroller rides in the trunk all day.
Is Keukenhof too much for a toddler?
Not if you keep it short: one loop of the gardens, a pavilion if it rains, and a picnic. The park has about 15 km of paths, so pick a part rather than trying to see it all.
Which car seats does AmstelCab provide?
Child and baby seats, €5 each, fitted before the chauffeur arrives; give the age of each child when you book so the right seat comes. See car seats in Amsterdam for the Dutch rules.
