Is there an Amsterdam airport transfer that provides car seats, and what is the law for taxis?
Yes — AmstelCab fits child and baby seats on request for €5 per seat, per ride: a rear-facing baby seat (Group 0+), a toddler seat with harness (Group 1) or a high-back booster (Group 2/3), chosen by your child’s age and weight. Dutch law requires an approved child seat for children under 1.35 m, with one taxi exception: children under 3 don’t have to use one in a taxi or bus.

Seats are booked with the ride and fitted before the car leaves for you; they cannot be added at the curb. The Mercedes-Maybach is arranged for two adults and is not the car for a child seat. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

How to book seats
- One seat per child. Select baby seat or child seat in the booking form for each child.
- Give ages (and weight if near a boundary). At booking, not an hour before pickup.
- Book both legs. The return to Schiphol is a separate booking; add the seats there too.
- Count the stroller as luggage. It takes roughly the space of a check-in case.

Which car should a family with two small children book?
Usually Van Class (€125 from Schiphol): up to 7 seats and 7 bags, with a sliding door. Two adults, two seats and one or two cases can fit Business Class (€90), but the trunk is the limit.
