How do I get from ASML in Veldhoven to Schiphol for an evening flight to the US?
Book a car to leave the campus at least 5 hours before departure: the 134 km to Schiphol take roughly 1 h 50 on a clear road, and we advise being at the airport 3 hours before a US flight. In Business Class the ride is about €458 per car, fixed at booking, and the chauffeur drops you at the departure hall for your airline.

Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price
- A fixed price confirmed at booking, with VAT included: no meter and no surge
- The chauffeur’s name, car and phone number before pickup, plus e-mail reminders 24 hours and 2 hours ahead

- Status updates to the person who booked, if that is not the passenger: confirmed, chauffeur en route, guest in the car, arrived
The last day on site
- Check out in the morning. Leave the cases with the hotel, or put the hotel stop into the booking so they travel with you.
- Book the pickup at the entrance you use. The chauffeur waits at that entrance on De Run, not at a car park.
- If the meeting runs over. Message the chauffeur; the plan is re-timed, and the chauffeur tells you honestly if it gets tight for the flight.
- The right door at Schiphol. The chauffeur confirms your departure hall from the flight number and drops you there.

Can I pick up my luggage from the hotel on the way?
Yes. Book the ride as hotel, then campus, then Schiphol, or campus, hotel, Schiphol, whichever fits the day; the stops are part of the route and the price is fixed when you book.
What happens if my meeting overruns?
A quarter of an hour past the pickup time costs nothing; after that the clock runs at €65 an hour in Business Class, billed by the minute. The bigger risk is the flight, so tell the chauffeur early and agree a new time.
Is the train back to Schiphol a good option?
If you travel light and leave in good time, yes: an Intercity runs from Eindhoven Centraal to Schiphol without a change. You still need to get from the campus to the station first, by bus or taxi.
How early is too early at Schiphol?
Schiphol says there is no point arriving more than an hour before your airline’s own advised time, because check-in may not be open yet. That is why the table works back from 3 hours, not 4.
