Where can I walk into a tulip field near Keukenhof without breaking the rules?
Not into the working fields, which are private and easily damaged; you photograph those from the road. To stand among the tulips, go to a farm set up for visitors: Tulip Experience Amsterdam has a garden with 4 million tulips and an indoor picking area, The Tulip Barn, 3 km from Keukenhof, lets you walk among 2.5 million for €10, and FAM Flower Farm opens its field on a few reserved days when it blooms. A driver by the hour fits one or two around Keukenhof.

Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Not in the commercial fields, which are the growers’ property and part of the crop. Farms that open to visitors are the legal way to stand among the flowers, usually for an entry fee.

Is it free to look at the tulip fields?
