Will road closures delay my airport transfer on Amsterdam Marathon Sunday?
They can if your hotel is near the course: on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the organizer closes the streets around the Olympic Stadium from 06:00 to 19:00 and the Stadhouderskade from 06:30 to 18:00, with shorter closures in Zuid, along the Amstel and in Oost. The price does not change — Schiphol to any Amsterdam address stays €90 per car in Business Class — but the route may, and a hotel on a closed street is reached from the nearest point cars can get to.

To Schiphol on the same day: €80 Business, €85 Van, €90 First. A detour around the closures does not change the fixed price. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price

Flying on marathon Sunday
- Tell us your exact address. The chauffeur checks it against the closures and tells you where the car can stop.
- Leaving for Schiphol? Book the pickup earlier than usual if your hotel is near the course; the chauffeur confirms a time before the day.
- Arriving at Schiphol? Nothing changes at the airport: the chauffeur follows your flight and meets you inside the arrivals hall.
- The last stretch. If your street is closed, the chauffeur sets you down as close as cars are allowed and helps with the bags.

How much earlier should I leave for my flight?
We have no measured figures for race day, so we won’t put a number on it. If your hotel is near the course, add a margin and let the chauffeur confirm a pickup time; for a flight to the US, plan to be at Schiphol about three hours before departure.
Can the chauffeur reach a hotel on a closed street?
Not while the street is closed. The car stops at the nearest point it can reach and the chauffeur walks with you and your luggage from there.
Is Saturday, October 17, affected too?
Much less. The Saturday races, the 7.5K and the Kids Run, only close streets near the Olympic Stadium, from about 10:00 to 17:00; transfers elsewhere in the city run as on any Saturday.
Does the marathon change the price of my transfer?
No. The fixed price is set when you book, and a detour is the chauffeur’s problem, not yours: €90 from Schiphol and €80 to Schiphol in Business Class.
