PRACTICAL QUESTIONS · BAGS THAT DIDN'T ARRIVE

My suitcase didn't come off the belt at Schiphol. What do I do, and will my driver wait?

Report it before you leave the baggage hall, because you cannot come back in. Go to your airline's baggage service desk in the hall, file the report, and keep the file reference; give the address where you'll be for the next few nights, and the airline delivers the bag there when it turns up. Send dispatch or your chauffeur a WhatsApp saying you're at the desk. Your flight is tracked, and waiting stays free for the first hour after landing; after that, every extra minute is charged at the Business Class hourly rate of €65, which is often far less stressful than sending the car away and finding another later.

Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall and the first 60 minutes of waiting free. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price

  • Flight tracking from the moment you book: an early or late landing moves the pickup, at no extra cost
  • Your chauffeur inside the arrivals hall your flight feeds into, holding an iPad sign with your name (or a company name, or no name)
  • A message or call from the chauffeur around landing, so you find each other quickly
  • Luggage carried from the hall to the car, which waits in the Privium section at the front of P1, a covered walk of about two minutes
  • The first 60 minutes of waiting at Schiphol
  • Water and phone chargers (iOS and Android) in the car; English-speaking chauffeur and 24/7 dispatch

At the desk, in order

  1. Your boarding pass and baggage tag sticker.
  2. A description of the bag: color, brand, a distinctive tag.
  3. The delivery address and a phone number that works in Europe.
  4. The file reference, photographed.
  5. A list of what you need to buy tonight; keep the receipts for the claim.

If you're moving on tomorrow

Give the airline your itinerary, as forum regulars advise, or the address of your next hotel. If the bag reaches Amsterdam after you have left, a courier run can bring it on to you; ask dispatch for a fixed quote.

Add a stop; see a supermarket stop.

What if the line at the desk is two hours long?

Message dispatch; the car can wait or come back, whichever costs you less.
