Can our driver stop at a supermarket between Schiphol and our apartment?
Yes; put the stop in the booking notes and dispatch confirms the adjusted fixed price before the day. Keep it to 15 or 20 minutes; any time beyond what was agreed is billed by the minute at the hourly rate, €65 an hour in Business Class. There is also a quicker trick: Schiphol Plaza, between the arrivals halls and the parking garage, has a supermarket, and the first 60 minutes after landing are free waiting, so a fast shop can happen before you even reach the car. In Amsterdam most supermarkets open on Sundays, which matters when a long-haul flight lands on a Sunday morning.

Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall and the first 60 minutes of waiting free. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Small things that save time
- Bring a bag or buy one at the checkout; bags are not free.
- Most supermarkets take contactless cards; a few smaller shops still prefer debit cards.
- The chauffeur brings the cases to the door; help up steep inside stairs is something to ask for when you book, see canal house stairs.
