Is there a taxi stand at the ICC in The Hague?
No: the Court says the drop-off point in front of its main entrance is not a permanent taxi stand, so its information desk orders a taxi for you when you leave, and it advises using only licensed taxis with blue number plates. If you want a car already waiting, book one in advance: to Den Haag Centraal, about 4 km away, it is the €70 minimum per car in Business Class, and to Schiphol about €147.

A ride this short costs the minimum fare. ICC → Schiphol: about €147 in Business Class, €191 in Van Class. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price
- A fixed price confirmed at booking, with VAT included: no meter and no surge

A pickup that is already there
- Book the pickup with an estimated time. If the hearing ends earlier or later, message the chauffeur.
- The car waits at the visitors’ car park. No vehicle may stay at the drop-off in front of the entrance, so the chauffeur parks there.
- You message when you are through security. The chauffeur brings the car round, or you walk the five minutes, whichever works that day.
- Straight on. To your hotel, the station, the Peace Palace or Schiphol, at the price fixed when you booked.

How long do I wait for a taxi ordered by the desk?
The Court does not say, and it depends on how busy the city’s taxis are at that moment. If you have a train or a flight to catch, a car booked in advance takes that uncertainty away.
What does a regular taxi charge?
A taxi from a rank or ordered on the spot may charge up to the government’s maximum tariff, per kilometer and per minute; see the Dutch maximum taxi fare. A booked car has its price agreed in advance.
When is the Court closed to visitors?
Outside Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00, on its official holidays and during recesses; the winter recess runs from December 18, 2026, 17:30, to January 11, 2027, 09:00. Check the Court’s calendar before you plan a pickup.
Can I book the return when I book the ride there?
Yes, and it is the simplest way: one booking for the ride to the Court and one for the way back, each at a fixed price. If you need the car in between, see a driver who waits during a hearing.
