My Amsterdam hotel wants €125 for a ride to Schiphol. Is that normal?

Why a hotel quote can be higher
We don’t know how your hotel arrives at its figure, and there can be good reasons — a larger car, a reserved car on a busy morning, a service the hotel stands behind. The point is to know what you are comparing. A fixed price you book yourself shows the class, the capacity and the conditions on the confirmation.
If you prefer the hotel to arrange it, you can still ask them to match a specific car class and price, or give the concierge a booking you made yourself; the chauffeur collects you at the door either way.
