Reading the numbers
From the south of the city a meter can be cheaper than a fixed price; from the center it tends to land close to it, and in slow traffic above it. A fixed price does not move with the traffic and is known before you leave.
Per person, a car gets cheaper the more of you travel: the price is for the whole car, and a van takes up to 7 people with 7 bags.
