Halfweg lies between Amsterdam and Haarlem, outside the Amsterdam city limits: about 20 minutes by car from Schiphol and about 21 minutes from central Amsterdam on a clear road. Doors usually open at 09:00 and you need a wristband. Large bags and luggage are not allowed, there is no bag check to leave them at, and all bags are inspected at entry, so drop your suitcase at the hotel first or leave it locked in the car.
