How do I get to the Olympic Stadium on Amsterdam Marathon morning?
The organizer points runners to the metro or train to Amsterdam Zuid and a signposted walk from there, because the roads around the stadium are closed from 06:00 on Sunday, October 18, 2026; runners in the first two marathon waves must be on the field by 08:50. If you would rather be driven, book a car to the Kiss & Ride on the Jachthavenweg, a few minutes’ walk from the stadium: from a hotel in the Museum Quarter the fixed price is €50 in Business Class.

On a normal day the Museum Quarter is about 4 km from the stadium. On race morning the car comes in by the A10 ring and exit S108, as the organizer signposts; the price fixed at booking does not change for the detour. Up to 15 km inside Amsterdam the minimum is €70. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price
- A fixed price confirmed at booking, with VAT included: no meter and no surge
- The chauffeur’s name, car and phone number before pickup, plus e-mail reminders 24 hours and 2 hours ahead

- Status updates to the person who booked, if that is not the passenger: confirmed, chauffeur en route, guest in the car, arrived
Metro or car on race morning?
Metro or train is fine when
- Your hotel is near a metro or train line to Amsterdam Zuid.
- You are running alone with just a clothing bag.
- You are happy to walk the signposted route from the station.
A car is better when
- You travel with family or a group: a Van Class car takes up to 7 people.
- Your hotel is far from a line to Amsterdam Zuid.
- You want to know exactly when you will be at the stadium, without the Sunday reduced timetable.

What time should the car collect me?
Work back from your wave: be on the field by 08:50 for waves 1 and 2, and leave time for the walk from the Kiss & Ride and the clothing tents, which open at 07:30. From the Museum Quarter a pickup around 07:00 leaves room for the detour via the A10.
Can the car drive up to the stadium?
No. The streets around the Olympic Stadium are closed to cars from 06:00, and the stadium garage is not open for parking on Sunday. The Kiss & Ride on the Jachthavenweg is where drivers drop runners, per the organizer.
I run the half marathon. When should I arrive?
The half starts between 13:20 and 13:50 at the Stadionweg, and the organizer asks runners not to arrive at the start area more than half an hour before their wave. A late-morning pickup is enough, though the roads have been closed since early morning.
Is AmstelCab part of the marathon organization?
No. AmstelCab is an independent chauffeur service; start times, waves and access rules come from the organizer, Le Champion.
