Where should we stay in Amsterdam before our river cruise?
Ask the cruise line for the berth first, then choose the area. Many ships moor at De Ruijterkade behind Centraal Station, so the old center, the canal belt and the hotels around the IJ are all a short ride away; but some berths are at Coenhaven or Kwadrantweg in the Westpoort port area, and a few are in Zaandam. Two nights before sailing lets jet lag pass and keeps a delayed flight from costing you the ship. On boarding day, a ride of up to 10 km inside Amsterdam is €50 in Business Class or €70 in Van Class.

Rides inside Amsterdam have a fixed price per car: up to 10 km and up to 15 km. Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall and the first 60 minutes of waiting free. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.
What is included in the price
