Schiphol to Leiden with kids and bags — train or car?
Intercity trains run from Schiphol to Leiden Centraal without a change, which works with a stroller and light bags if your address is near the station. With car seats, several suitcases or tired children, a car door to door is easier: about 30 km, roughly half an hour without traffic, at about €103 in Business Class or €133 in Van Class for up to 7 people, with child seats fitted before pickup at €5 each.

Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Booking for a family
- Count seats and bags. Business Class takes 3 passengers; Van Class up to 7, children included.
- Give each child’s age. So the right baby seat, child seat or booster is fitted before pickup.
