I land at Schiphol at midnight — what’s the safest way to my hotel?
A car booked in advance is the most predictable: the chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall with your name however late the flight lands, the price stays a fixed €90 in Business Class to any Amsterdam address, and the person who booked is told when you are in the car and when you have arrived. Otherwise, take a registered taxi from the stand outside Schiphol Plaza, or the hourly night train to Centraal, which leaves you to cover the last stretch from the station yourself.

No night surcharge. Book more than 12 hours before landing to avoid the 10% short-notice surcharge. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

A late arrival, step by step
- Flight tracked. A landing after midnight instead of at 23:00 simply moves the pickup.
- Chauffeur at your hall doors. With your name on an iPad; messages or calls you around landing.
- Two minutes to the car. Under cover, to the Privium section at the front of P1.
- Door to door. The booker, if someone booked for you, gets “guest in the car” and “arrived”.

Yes, NS runs a night train roughly every hour between Schiphol and Amsterdam Centraal, every night. Planned works sometimes replace it with buses, so check the NS planner on the day.

What if my midnight flight is diverted or very late?
