I land at Schiphol at 6am after a red-eye from New York — what’s the easiest way to get to my hotel?
A pre-booked car: the chauffeur tracks your flight, waits inside the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, carries your bags and drives you door to door with no transfers, for a fixed €90 in Business Class to any Amsterdam address — the same price at 6am as at noon. The canal ring and the Museum Quarter are 25 to 35 minutes away in normal traffic, but allow for passport control first: Schiphol reported one-to-two-hour average waits for non-EU travelers in August 2026.

No early-morning or night surcharge. Book more than 12 hours ahead — on a 6am arrival that means by 6pm the evening before — or pay 10% more (€99 in Business Class). Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

We don’t yet publish a specific figure for a weekday 7am drive: we only publish times measured on enough of our own rides, and the weekday morning peak on the A4 and A10 can add to the normal-traffic range.

Train or car at 6am?
When the train is fine
- Your hotel is a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal, and you have one small bag.
- You slept on the plane and don’t mind a platform, a train and a walk.
When a chauffeur is the better choice
- Your hotel is on the canals, in the Museum Quarter, De Pijp or anywhere not next to Centraal — the train means a second leg by tram or on foot.
- You have checked bags, or you are traveling with children or older parents.
- You didn’t sleep, and don’t want to navigate anything before coffee.
Trains from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal take about 15 to 20 minutes and are frequent. Whether that is easy depends on what is waiting at the other end.
What happens after you land
- Your chauffeur already knows. The flight has been tracked since you booked; an early landing is fine.
- Passport control, bags, customs. The chauffeur messages or calls around landing and waits in the hall your flight feeds into.
- Your name on an iPad at the doors. Bags go on the chauffeur’s trolley; a two-minute covered walk to the car.
- Straight to the hotel. Water and a phone charger in the car; if the room isn’t ready, see dropping bags before check-in.

The canal ring and Museum Quarter are 25 to 35 minutes from Schiphol in normal traffic. The weekday morning rush can add to that; we will publish a measured 7am figure once we have one from enough of our own rides.
Is there a surcharge for a 6am pickup?
No. The price is the same day and night. The only surcharge is 10% for booking less than 12 hours before pickup (€99 instead of €90 in Business Class).
What is the best way to get from Schiphol to my hotel with no transfers?
A car door to door. The train is direct only to a few stations; most hotels need a tram, a taxi or a walk after it.
Can I check in at 7am?
That is up to your hotel; ask them when you book. We can take you to the hotel first so you can leave your bags — see dropping bags before check-in.
