When is Schiphol busiest over Christmas 2026, and how early should I arrive?
The Dutch Christmas school holiday runs from Saturday, December 19, 2026, to Sunday, January 3, 2027, in all regions. Schiphol had not published a 2026 forecast on October 21; for the 2024 to 2025 holiday it expected about 3 million travelers, with the busiest departure day on the Friday the holiday began (more than 71,000) and the busiest arrival day on its last Sunday (about 66,000). Schiphol advises about 3 hours before an intercontinental flight, and free security time slots can be booked in its app or on its site up to three days ahead. From December 18 to 21 part of the A10 towards Schiphol is closed for works.

Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.
