I land at Schiphol on the morning of January 1, 2027. How do I get to my hotel?
Book the ride before you fly. Last year hourly night trains linked Schiphol with Amsterdam through the night, but most regular trains only returned around 10:00 on January 1, and buses to and from Schiphol, the 397 included, ran a Sunday timetable. A pre-booked car takes about 28 minutes to central Amsterdam on a clear road, at the fixed €90 in Business Class with no holiday surcharge, and the chauffeur follows your flight.

Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.
What is included in the price

After landing
Passport checks for non-EU travelers took one to two hours at peak times in August 2026, after the EES border system started. Expect a quiet city: I amsterdam says most museums and attractions close on January 1, and the Light Festival lights up at 16:30; see what's open on New Year's Day.
