Everything a taxi does,
with the meter switched off.
You want a car to the airport, to a restaurant, to a meeting in the Zuidas. What you do not want is a number climbing on a dashboard while a bridge is open. Book the car in advance and the price is agreed before you get in — a black Mercedes-Benz, a chauffeur in a suit, and no surprise at the kerb.
A rank taxi and a pre-booked chauffeur are two different products.
A licensed taxi from a rank is good at one thing: being there now. You walk up at Centraal, the Leidseplein or the airport rank on Schiphol Plaza, you get in, the meter runs and you pay what the clock says. If your plan is to leave this minute and the traffic is kind, that is a perfectly sensible way to travel, and we would say so.
A pre-booked chauffeur solves the other half of the problem. The car is chosen and the price is fixed hours or weeks before it arrives, which means the fare no longer depends on the Weesperstraat at half past five, on a raised bridge in the Jordaan or on the queue for the IJ-tunnel. You know which car will come, you know what it costs, and you can put the number on an expense line before the trip has happened. It is not faster on a clear road. It is simply predictable, which on a working day is usually worth more.
Four rides that are worth planning rather than hailing.
A fixed €80 in Business Class from any address in Amsterdam, agreed the night before, with the chauffeur outside at the time you chose. No standing on the pavement at five in the morning hoping something comes past.
The return leg is €90 in Business Class and includes sixty minutes of free waiting after the aircraft lands. Your flight is tracked from the moment you book, so a delay moves the pickup rather than the price.
Booked both ways in advance, the car is outside when the table is cleared. Nobody negotiates on the Rembrandtplein at midnight and nobody splits the group across two cars — a V-Class seats seven.
From €65 an hour the same car and chauffeur stay with you, minimum two hours, 40 kilometres included per hour. Cheaper than four separate rides and far easier to explain to finance.
What it costs, written down before you book.
Every figure below is per car, taxes included, and is the whole fare. Amsterdam means anywhere in Amsterdam, not a zone around the centre.
A booking placed within 12 hours of pickup adds 10%. Child and baby seats are €5 each and are fitted before the car arrives. Payment by major cards, Apple Pay, iDEAL or Klarna, or on a company account with an invoice.
Three minutes now instead of ten on the pavement later.
Pick-up, destination, date and time. The price appears immediately for all four classes — that figure is the fare, not an estimate to be adjusted afterwards.
Three passengers and three bags fit in Business or First Class; seven and seven need the V-Class. Add a child seat, a flight number or a note about the door the chauffeur should use.
You get a confirmation, then a message when the chauffeur is on the way, and a live map of the car on the My Ride page. If you booked for someone else, those updates go to you as well as to them.
The everyday workhorse: sedans for one to three passengers.
Room for groups, families and luggage, with up to seven seats.
Flagship saloons for executives and VIP arrivals.
The pinnacle: Mercedes-Maybach, by request only.
The full service: airport runs, hourly hire, the fleet and how dispatch works.
Everyday city driving — school runs, clinics, restaurants and the trip to the station.
The same fixed-price car beyond the ring road: Rotterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht and the rest.
Where a direct chauffeur company differs from an app that resells other people’s cars.
A chauffeur service, which is why there is no meter. Every trip is pre-booked rather than hailed, the price is fixed before departure and the car and chauffeur are assigned to you for the journey. If you need a car in the next ten minutes with no arrangement at all, a rank taxi is genuinely the better tool.
As far ahead as you like, and often on the same day. Bookings placed within 12 hours of pickup carry a 10% surcharge because the car has to be pulled out of a planned roster. Airport departures are best booked at least three hours before the flight, and the chauffeur confirms which departure hall.
No. The amount you see when you book is the amount you pay, whether the A10 is clear or the Stadhouderskade is not. There is no waiting charge on a normal delay, no surge at night or at the weekend, and no surcharge for paying by card.
Yes, and it is common — a guest, a client, a parent. Put their name and phone number on the booking and both of you receive the updates: confirmed, chauffeur en route, guest in the car, safely arrived. The sign at the airport can carry their name, your company name or nothing.
Short city rides have a minimum fare rather than a per-kilometre trickle: €50 in Business Class up to 10 kilometres, €70 up to 15, with €70 and €100 for a Van and €90 and €120 in First Class. Anything longer is priced per kilometre and confirmed as one figure at booking.
A black premium car from the class you chose: a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, EQE or BMW 5 Series in Business Class, an S-Class, EQS or i7 in First Class, a V-Class for up to seven, and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in Ultra. No roof signs, no livery and no advertising in the rear window.
