COMPARISON · AMSTERDAM

AmstelCab vs the platforms,
honestly.

Two good ways to book a chauffeur in Amsterdam: a global platform, or the local operator that owns the cars. Here is the factual difference — no scorecards, no spin — so you can choose in one read.

01 / The short version

A platform and an operator are different answers to the same question.

Global chauffeur platforms put hundreds of cities behind one app and one account. AmstelCab is an Amsterdam operator: we own the Mercedes fleet, run our own dispatch and put our own chauffeurs behind the wheel.

If you value one consistent app across every city you travel to, a platform serves you well. If you value direct contact with the people who actually drive and dispatch in Amsterdam, that is what we are. Neither is wrong — they are built for different travellers.

03 / What local operations mean

Local is not a slogan. It is who answers the phone.

Everything on this page comes down to one structural fact: with AmstelCab there is no layer between you and the operation. The booking, the car, the chauffeur and the person tracking your flight all sit in the same Amsterdam company.

Dispatch based in Amsterdam — the people who confirm your booking send the car
Chauffeurs who drive Schiphol, the RAI and the hotel forecourts every week
Flight tracking handled by the same team that dispatches your chauffeur
One WhatsApp number for before, during and after the ride — in English, 24/7
The fleet is ours — maintained, cleaned and stocked by AmstelCab
04 / When each is the right choice
Choose a platform when…

…your travel spans many cities and countries and you want one account, one app and one invoice for all of it. That is what a global platform is built to do, and multi-city consistency is a real advantage — we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Choose AmstelCab when…

…your travel centres on Amsterdam and you want the dispatcher’s number in your phone. Airport transfers at published fixed rates, hourly hire for full days, long-distance rides to Paris and beyond, a Maybach on request — and corporate accounts for the people who book it all.

06 / Try one ride

The honest test is a single transfer.

Comparison pages — ours included — only get you so far. Book one Schiphol transfer: flight tracked, chauffeur in arrivals with a name sign, one fixed price settled before the car moves. Then decide with your own evidence.

07 / Questions, answered
Is AmstelCab cheaper than the global platforms?

We can only speak for our own prices: fixed all-in rates published upfront, from €80 for Business Class between Amsterdam and Schiphol, taxes included. We make no claims about other providers’ prices — compare current offers yourself before you book.

Does AmstelCab serve destinations outside the Netherlands?

Yes — as long-distance rides departing from the Amsterdam area, with one fixed quote per trip: Paris, Brussels, Antwerp, Düsseldorf and more. For journeys that begin in other countries, a global platform is the more practical choice.

Do you offer the same service classes?

Our fleet covers the classes an international traveller expects: Business (Mercedes EQE and E-Class, BMW i5 and 5 Series), First (Mercedes S-Class), Van (Mercedes V-Class, seven seats) and Ultra (Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, on request).

Can my company switch to AmstelCab?

Yes. We set up corporate accounts with invoicing and one contact at dispatch, and assistants who book for others receive proactive status updates on every ride. Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it.

Do I need an account or app to book AmstelCab?

No. You book on our website in about two minutes and pay by major cards, Apple Pay, iDEAL or Klarna. Confirmation arrives in writing, and dispatch is one WhatsApp message away if anything changes.

One ride tells you more than any comparison.
