Is it safe to drive to Schiphol in snow in the Netherlands?
It depends on how bad it is, and the official warnings are the guide: in January 2026 the Dutch weather service issued code orange warnings for dangerous travel conditions, and hundreds of flights were canceled. Check your flight before you set off; with a chauffeur you are not the one on the road, and the fixed €80 from any Amsterdam address to Schiphol does not rise if it takes longer.

The price is fixed at booking and does not change with the road conditions or the time the drive takes. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

What is included in the price

A snow-day airport run
- Check the flight. If the airline has canceled, you save yourself the drive; rebook first.
- Move the pickup earlier. Message dispatch the evening before if snow is forecast, and let the chauffeur propose the time.
- Dress for the walk. Pavements and the walk to the terminal can be slippery even when the road is clear.
- Keep your phone on. The chauffeur messages you on the way; you do the same if the flight status changes.

Do your cars have winter tyres?
We confirm the car for your trip when you book in winter conditions. Winter tyres are not required by law in the Netherlands, though the government calls them advisable; for a trip into Germany in winter conditions they are required.
Is the train safer than the road in snow?
Not necessarily. On January 6, 2026, snow and frozen switches stopped NS trains for part of the day, so on a heavy snow day both the rails and the roads are affected. Check both before you choose.
Will you cancel my ride if the weather is too bad?

Does a slower drive cost more?
No. A fixed ride is priced when you book: €80 in Business Class and €85 in Van Class from any Amsterdam address, whether the drive takes 25 minutes or an hour.
