The route is simple and it almost never changes: west on the A6 over the Hollandse Brug, onto the A1 past Muiden and Diemen, then south on the A9 to the airport. What varies is the clock. In the morning peak the stretch between the bridge and the Amsterdam ring can add a quarter of an hour, and in the evening the same section fills in the other direction, so the pickup time your chauffeur proposes is the one worth taking.
Departures begin at your own door — a house in Almere Buiten, a flat above the Weerwater, an address in Poort or Haven — with the bags loaded for you and the right departure hall worked out from your flight number before anybody gets in. A departure needs to be booked at least three hours before the flight leaves. On a run this short that still means leaving earlier than instinct suggests: it is the queue at security, not the A6, that decides how early you have to be.
Arrivals run the other way. The inbound flight is followed from the booking onwards; a chauffeur is already in the hall with a board when the doors open — your name on it, a company name, or nothing if you would rather not be announced — and the hour after landing costs nothing. Then it is the A9 and the A1 and you are home in Almere before a train would have reached Amsterdam Centraal.
