An Amsterdam chauffeur company,
not a marketplace.
This is the plain version of who we are. An office in Amsterdam, a black Mercedes-Benz and BMW fleet, prices fixed before you get in, and a dispatch desk where the person who confirms your booking is the person who sends the car.
A chauffeur company with its own cars and its own desk.
AmstelCab is a premium chauffeur company based in Amsterdam. We are not a booking platform and not a marketplace: there is no network of local partners behind the website and no reseller between you and the car. When you book, our dispatch in Amsterdam confirms it, assigns one of our own chauffeurs and one of our own cars, and stays on the line until you have arrived. That is the whole model, and it is deliberately short.
It matters most when something moves. A flight lands forty minutes early, a meeting overruns, a guest asks for a second stop. On a platform that request travels through a support desk to a partner company to a driver. Here it travels one step: the dispatcher who sent the car changes the plan and tells the chauffeur. If you want the factual comparison with the global platforms, we have written it out on its own page, without scorecards.
The registered office is at Burgemeester van de Pollstraat 477, 1064 AN Amsterdam, KvK 97225444. Dispatch answers +31 6 85141194 by phone and WhatsApp around the clock, every day of the year, in English and Dutch. Booking is online, with no account and no app; corporate accounts with invoicing are set up on request.
Four classes, all black, all ours.
Every car is a late-model premium saloon, SUV or van in black. Choose by passengers and luggage; the chauffeur standard does not change between classes.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class and EQE, the EQE SUV, BMW 5 Series and i5. Up to three passengers and three bags: the everyday car for Schiphol runs, hourly hire and most point-to-point trips. Several of them are fully electric.
Mercedes-Benz V-Class and the electric EQV. Seven passengers, seven bags, captain chairs and walk-in headroom: the car for families, crews and anyone whose luggage would not fit in a saloon.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class, EQS and EQS SUV, BMW i7. Up to three passengers, and a rear cabin built for the passenger who wants to work or sleep on the way.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class for two passengers and two bags, with reclining rear seats and champagne flutes. Fixed prices between Schiphol and Amsterdam; everything else on request through WhatsApp, and never a first-come booking.
What every Schiphol pickup includes, and why it is not an upsell.
Airport work is where a chauffeur company shows its habits, and ours are fixed. From the moment a Schiphol pickup is booked we track the flight number, so an early landing or a two-hour delay moves the pickup without anyone having to call. Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall with a sign carrying your name, a company name or nothing at all, takes the luggage, and walks you to the car in the garage nearest the hall. The first sixty minutes after landing are free waiting time.
None of that is sold as a supplement, because we do not think the walk through arrivals can be separated from the ride. For departures the rule is equally simple: book at least three hours before the flight and the chauffeur confirms the departure hall on the way. Private aviation runs differently, through the General Aviation Terminal at Schiphol East, and is quoted by dispatch on WhatsApp.
The price is settled before the door opens.
We publish what can be published and quote the rest as one figure, agreed in writing before the ride. There is no meter, no surge and no surcharge for paying by card.
Between Schiphol and any address in Amsterdam the prices are fixed and on the site: Business Class €80 to Schiphol and €90 from it, Van Class €85 and €125, First Class €90 and €140, the Maybach €225 and €250. Taxes included, per car.
Business Class €65, Van Class €80 and First Class €100 an hour, minimum two hours, with 40 kilometres included in each hour. Hourly hire starts and ends in the same city; the Maybach is quoted on request.
Point-to-point trips across the Netherlands and abroad are priced per kilometre and shown as a single all-in amount at booking. Short rides carry a minimum fare, and a booking made within twelve hours of pickup adds ten per cent.
Cancel free of charge up to one hour before pickup. Inside that hour half the fare is due, and once the chauffeur has been dispatched, the full fare. Payment by major cards, Apple Pay, iDEAL or Klarna.
Assistants, hotels, frequent flyers and families.
They book for someone else and are judged on how it went. So every ride reports back in four messages, confirmed, chauffeur en route, guest in the car, safely arrived, and a corporate account puts the invoicing in one place.
A guest wants a car to Schiphol at five in the morning, or a day around the Randstad with the same chauffeur. The desk sends us the request, receives a fixed price in writing and hands the guest a name, a plate and a time.
People who land at Schiphol every other week stop wanting surprises. The same standard on every pickup, the same fixed price in both directions, and a chauffeur who already knows which garage sits nearest which hall.
Seven seats and seven bags in the Van Class, child and baby seats fitted before pickup for €5 each, and a live position on My Ride for whoever is waiting at home.
Brussels, Paris, Düsseldorf, Berlin: door to door in one car with one fixed quote, one-way or return, with stops on request and the luggage never out of sight.
Amsterdam first, then the map.
The core of the work is Amsterdam and Schiphol: hotel forecourts, the Zuidas, the RAI, the canal belt and the airport garages. From there the same cars and the same standard cover the whole of the Netherlands, from Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht to Eindhoven, Groningen and the smaller places in between, and cross the border for long-distance trips to Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France and beyond. Multi-day arrangements with the same chauffeur are quoted individually.
Our chauffeurs are hand-picked, experienced and professionally dressed in a suit; they speak English and Dutch, know Amsterdam’s one-way system and keep water and chargers on board. We would rather not print claims about them that you cannot check, so this page keeps to what you will see at the kerb. If you drive for a living and would like to drive for us, the Drive with AmstelCab page explains how to apply.
The factual comparison with global chauffeur platforms: fleet, pricing, contact, coverage.
Everything we do, in one place: airport transfers, hourly hire, long distance and the four classes.
What you can verify on the day: live location, name and plate, a fixed price, one direct line.
The booking form step by step, what to add for an airport pickup and how changes work.
An operator. The cars are ours, the chauffeurs drive for us, and the dispatch desk that confirms your booking is in Amsterdam. Nothing is passed to a partner company. That is the difference you notice when a plan changes and one message is enough to change it.
Dispatch, the people who assign the cars, at any hour and in English or Dutch. Once a chauffeur has been assigned to your ride you also receive their direct number, so before, during and after the trip there is always a person rather than a ticket queue.
Yes. Amsterdam and Schiphol are the core, but the same cars cover the whole of the Netherlands and drive long distance to Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France and beyond at one fixed quote. Return legs and trips that start abroad, such as Paris to Amsterdam, are quoted the same way.
No. Booking is on the website and takes a couple of minutes; confirmation arrives in writing with the fixed price, the class and the pickup time. Your My Ride page then shows the chauffeur’s name, the licence plate and the live position of the car, without installing anything.
Yes, and many of our bookers do. Put the passenger’s name and number in the booking and both of you are kept informed: confirmed, chauffeur en route, passenger in the car, safely arrived. Companies that book regularly get an account with monthly invoicing.
We do not run stretch limousines or coaches, we do not sell the Schiphol VIP Centre or lounge programmes, and we do not publish claims about vetting, headcount or history that you cannot check. What we do is drive premium black cars, with a fixed price and a person on the line.
