Three kinds of day account for most of the First Class work we do in Utrecht. A wedding at one of the castles — Kasteel de Haar at Haarzuilens, Slot Zuylen on the Vecht, a country house on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug — where the last stretch is a lane through beech woods rather than a street with a number. An evening in the Jaarbeurs halls, where everyone leaves at the same minute and the Croeselaan becomes one long queue. None of the three is really about the car. They are about the door it stops at and the minute it stops there, so we plan them backwards from that door: the lane to the estate driven once in advance, a collection point on the Croeselaan agreed before the speeches start, the A2 allowed for rather than hoped about. The price for the whole arrangement is settled before the day, and the chauffeur who makes the first pickup makes the last one.

No, and the Utrecht venues are the argument against them. The gate at Kasteel de Haar, the access streets along the Oudegracht and the forecourt of the Jaarbeurs all suit a car of normal length; a stretch would spend the evening parked somewhere you are not. First Class here means a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or an EQS, and it reaches the door you actually booked.
A fixed €306 per car in either direction, taxes included. When the day is a wedding or a gala rather than a transfer, hourly hire is the better shape: €100 per hour in First Class, two hours minimum, beginning and ending in Utrecht. The Mercedes-Maybach is quoted on WhatsApp instead.
The car arrives black and clean, with nothing of ours on the bonnet. Bring ribbons or a small arrangement from your florist and the chauffeur fits them at the pickup address before you come out. Mention it to dispatch on WhatsApp when you book, so the chauffeur is there ten minutes earlier.
