The VIP Centre is Schiphol’s.
The car is ours.
Schiphol’s VIP Centre is a paid service run by the airport: a private lounge, your own security and passport check, and an escort to the aircraft. We do not sell it. What we do is the leg that starts or ends at its door, at the same fixed price as any other Schiphol transfer.
A private way through the airport, booked from the airport.
The Schiphol VIP Centre is the airport’s own service for passengers who prefer not to use the terminal at all. Guests arrive at a dedicated entrance away from the departure halls, wait in a private lounge, pass their own security and passport control and are driven across the apron to the aircraft. On arrival the sequence runs in reverse: collected at the aircraft, formalities in the lounge, out through the same entrance. It is open to any passenger, on any airline and in any class, for a fee paid to Schiphol.
To be clear about our part: AmstelCab does not sell, resell or bundle the VIP Centre. We do not book it on your behalf and its fee is never part of our price. You arrange it with Schiphol, or your airline or your assistant does. Our job begins and ends at its entrance: a chauffeur at the door, your luggage in the boot, and a fixed price to or from wherever you are staying.
Departing and arriving through the VIP Centre, with a car at each end.
Add a note that you are using the VIP Centre, together with your flight number. Dispatch then sends the chauffeur to the VIP Centre entrance rather than to a departure hall or the arrivals hall.
The chauffeur collects you at home or at the hotel and drives to the VIP Centre’s own forecourt. From there Schiphol’s hosts take over: lounge, security, passport control and the drive out to the aircraft. Book the car to arrive a little before the time the VIP Centre gives you.
We track your flight from the moment you book. The VIP Centre meets you at the aircraft and handles the formalities; when you come out through its entrance, the chauffeur is at the door with the car. The first sixty minutes after landing are free waiting, as on any airport pickup.
Amsterdam at the fixed price, or The Hague, Rotterdam, a country house or a second airport at one all-in quote. Whoever booked receives a message when you are in the car and again when you have arrived.
Privium, the lounges and our own meet & greet: what is what.
Schiphol offers several ways to shorten or skip the terminal. They are different products from different desks, and only one of them is ours.
Run by the airport and paid per visit, for the passenger who does not want to see the terminal. Private lounge, private security and passport control, escort to the aircraft. Arranged with Schiphol, never through us.
Schiphol’s membership programme, with its own lanes at passport control and security and a lounge of its own. It shortens the terminal; it does not replace it. Members still walk out through the normal arrivals hall, where our chauffeur waits with a name sign.
Your carrier’s or alliance’s lounge, or a pay-per-visit lounge, sits airside and depends on your ticket or membership. It changes nothing about the car: we drop you at the departure hall the chauffeur confirms, and on arrival we are in the hall with a sign.
On every ordinary Schiphol pickup the chauffeur is inside the arrivals hall with a name sign, the flight is tracked and the first hour of waiting is free. This is not a paid extra and needs no membership.
If the flight itself is private, none of the above applies: business jets use the General Aviation Terminal at Schiphol East, and the car is coordinated with your flight handler.
Who each Schiphol service suits and how they combine with a chauffeur, in our guide to the lounges and VIP services.
The car is priced like any Schiphol transfer.
Between the VIP Centre entrance and any address in Amsterdam the price is fixed and published. The VIP Centre’s own fee is paid to Schiphol and is not part of these figures.
Taxes included, no meter, no surge, no card surcharge. Beyond Amsterdam the transfer is one fixed all-in quote at booking. Cancel free of charge up to one hour before pickup.
Five lines that make the VIP Centre and the car meet properly.
The VIP Centre and our dispatch are two separate desks. These notes keep them in step.
The arrivals-hall standard on every pickup: name sign, flight tracking, free hour of waiting.
The General Aviation Terminal at Schiphol East, coordinated with your handler.
The VIP Centre, Privium and the airline lounges compared, from the chauffeur’s seat.
Fixed prices in both directions, all four classes, every hall.
Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall, holding an iPad with your name.
We track your flight from the moment you book. The first 60 minutes after landing are included, so slow baggage costs you nothing, and your chauffeur messages you around landing. They take the luggage and walk you to the car in the Privium section at the front of P1, directly opposite the terminal — a covered walk of about two minutes. Nobody is sent upstairs to find a car at Departures.
No. The VIP Centre is a service of Schiphol, booked with the airport and paid to the airport. We do not sell it, resell it or add it to a booking. Our price covers the chauffeur and the car between the VIP Centre’s entrance and your address, nothing more and nothing less.
At the VIP Centre’s own entrance, which is separate from the passenger terminal. Tell us at booking that you are using it and dispatch sends the chauffeur there; you receive the chauffeur’s name and number beforehand so you can confirm the spot on the day.
Not in the arrivals hall, because you will not pass through it: the VIP Centre’s hosts escort you from the aircraft. What stays the same is everything around it: the flight is tracked, the chauffeur waits at the VIP Centre exit, helps with the luggage and walks you to the car.
No. Privium gives you faster lanes inside the terminal, but you still come out through the normal arrivals hall, so the standard pickup applies: chauffeur inside the hall with a name sign, flight tracked, sixty minutes of free waiting after landing.
The first sixty minutes after landing are free waiting time, and because we track the flight the clock starts at wheels-down, not at your booked time. If something runs long, message dispatch and the chauffeur stays put.
Most guests pair it with First Class, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or EQS, or with the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, which has fixed Schiphol prices and reclining rear seats. For an entourage or a great deal of luggage the Van Class carries seven passengers and seven bags.
