We're staying in Amsterdam Noord. How do we get there from Schiphol with our luggage?
By public transport it's the train to Centraal, a walk through the station to the back, and a free GVB ferry across the IJ; with light bags and daylight it's easy. With suitcases, a late landing or a hotel away from the ferry piers, a car is simpler: it drives under the IJ through the tunnel to the door in about 26 minutes, and Noord is part of Amsterdam, so the fixed fare is the same €90 in Business Class or €125 in Van Class.
