I have an 8-hour layover in Amsterdam — can a driver show me the city and get me back in time?
Yes, if you plan backward: allow one to two hours for passport control on the way out (Schiphol’s average for non-EU travelers in August 2026) and be back at Schiphol 3 hours before a US-bound flight, which leaves roughly 2 to 3 hours in the city. A car from the Schiphol arrivals hall into Amsterdam is a fixed €90 in Business Class and the ride back is €80, so the round trip is €170 per car.

On 8 hours, one of them at most, and only if the border line is short. Book tickets ahead on the museum’s own site, and choose the Museum Quarter as your drop-off.
Can the driver also be my guide?
Our chauffeurs drive, and they know the city, but they are not licensed tour guides. If you want a guided tour, book a guide separately; we can drive you both.
What if the border line takes longer than planned?
The chauffeur waits: the first 60 minutes are free, after that per minute at the hourly rate. If time gets too tight, skip the city — you can cancel free of charge up to 1 hour before pickup.
Where can I leave my carry-on during the layover?
In the car, if you book it by the hour in the city. Otherwise check Schiphol’s own website for luggage storage, and which side of passport control it is on.
