Most people who need this route are carrying more than a laptop. Cruise ships tie up at the terminal on the Wilhelminakade, next to Hotel New York on the Kop van Zuid, and their passengers step off with a week or two of luggage and an Amsterdam hotel to reach before the afternoon. By train that means two taxis, a platform and a great deal of lifting. A chauffeured car does the whole thing from the gangway to the hotel door in one movement, with the fare fixed before the ship has docked.
The business version is the same trip with different luggage: a morning at an office on the Kop van Zuid or in the Scheepvaartkwartier, then a car to the Zuidas or the RAI that lets you finish the notes on the way. The road is short — the A13 or A4 north past Delft and The Hague, then the A4 by Leiden and Schiphol into the Amsterdam ring — and the price is one number, per car, whatever the traffic.
How a cruise pickup works.
Book with the cruise terminal as your pickup and give us the ship's name and your expected disembarkation time. Dispatch plans the pickup around it rather than around a fixed clock.
Once you are through the terminal, your chauffeur is at the exit with a name sign and takes the cases from there. You have their direct number from the moment the car is assigned.

About 1h06 for the 95 kilometres from the Kop van Zuid to the centre of Amsterdam in normal traffic. Weekday mornings on the A4 around The Hague and Schiphol can add time; dispatch checks the road before the chauffeur leaves and adjusts the pickup for a fixed appointment.
