What is the Overloon War Museum, and can we do it as a day trip from Amsterdam?
Overloon in North Brabant was the scene of one of the heaviest tank battles fought on Dutch soil, from 30 September to 18 October 1944. The US 7th Armored Division attacked first; when that failed, British divisions took over, captured the village at heavy cost, and the Americans moved south to the Deurne and Weert area. A museum opened on the battlefield in May 1946, and in 2006 a collection of more than 200 military vehicles was added. Overloon is about 146 km from Amsterdam, around 2 h 04 by car; nine hours costs €585 in Business Class.

By the hour: minimum 2 hours, 40 km included per hour, starting and ending in the same city. The chauffeur waits between stops. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.
