Where can I celebrate New Year's Eve 2026 in Amsterdam?
The city's own celebration has been on Museumplein. For 2025 to 2026 the municipality staged an "Electric Fireworks" show there with the largest countdown clock in the Netherlands, and a year earlier a light show with a 60-meter countdown clock, live acts and a DJ from 22:00 to 00:30, plus a children's edition from 18:30 to 19:10. Short professional fireworks shows were also held at the Sloterplas, in IJburg, in the Nelson Mandelapark and in Weesp. The 2026 to 2027 program had not been announced on October 21, and consumer fireworks are banned nationwide from this New Year's Eve.

Rides inside Amsterdam up to 10 km have a fixed price per car (€50 in Business Class); a detour around closures does not change it. Longer rides are priced per kilometer and shown before you book. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Getting there and back
Last year public transport stopped around 20:00, so arrive before then or by car, and meet your driver a few streets from the crowd afterwards. A ride inside Amsterdam up to 10 km is fixed at €50 in Business Class; see also home after the Museumplein show.
