Metstrade ends Thursday at 5pm — can I still make an evening flight home from Schiphol?
Yes, if your flight leaves around 9pm or later. The RAI is about 16 km from Schiphol by road; even if Thursday rush hour stretches the drive to an hour, leaving at 17:00 puts you at the airport by 18:00, which is the 3-hour margin we advise before any US-bound departure. The ride from the RAI to Schiphol is a fixed €80 in Business Class, per car with VAT included.

Book it in advance: within 12 hours of pickup the price is 10% higher (€88 in Business Class). Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At Schiphol the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

The one-hour allowance is a planning margin, not a measured drive time; on a clear road the RAI–Schiphol run is about 15 minutes. We will publish measured Thursday-evening times once we have enough of our own rides to do so.

Train or car from the RAI to Schiphol?
When the train is fine
- You have only hand luggage with you at the show.
- Amsterdam RAI station is a couple of minutes’ walk from the building and has direct trains to Schiphol.
When a chauffeur is the better choice
- Your suitcase is still at the hotel — the car can collect you and the bags (see below).
- You are traveling with colleagues and stand material.
- You want the drop at your departure hall rather than the station under Schiphol Plaza.
What to do with your luggage on the last day
Two setups work. Take your bags to the show in the morning (ask the organizer or the RAI whether there is somewhere to leave them), then go straight from the RAI to Schiphol. Or leave the bags at your hotel, and book the car from the RAI with a stop at the hotel on the way to the airport.
An extra stop can change the price; the amount is shown before you confirm, and dispatch can quote it on WhatsApp.
