In most cars the best seat is behind the wheel. In the S-Class it is behind the front passenger, on the right, where a chauffeur’s guest has the door opened for them and a view of the Amstel going by. This is the car board members ask for by name, and the one we send when the passenger list says a chairman, a minister or a guest whose arrival is being watched. Three passengers and three bags is the ceiling, and the sensible load is two people with two check-in cases, or one traveller with everything. Capacity is the same — three passengers, three bags — so the difference is the car and the class. The S-Class is the flagship saloon in First Class at €90 to Schiphol and €100 an hour; the E-Class is Business Class at €80 and €65. Guests who are being received, rather than simply moved, tend to get the S-Class.
Yes, and it is included. On every Schiphol pickup the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign — the guest’s name, a company name or a blank sign for discretion — carries the luggage and walks to the S-Class in the garage nearest the hall. The booker receives status updates from confirmation to safe arrival.
Per kilometre at €6.79, turned into one fixed all-in quote before you confirm. It covers car, chauffeur, tolls and taxes door to door; short trips inside Amsterdam start at €90 up to 10 kilometres and €120 up to 15.
It is a different class. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in Ultra carries two passengers with reclining rear seats and champagne flutes, at fixed Schiphol prices of €225 and €250 and on request everywhere else. The S-Class in First Class carries three and is bookable online, day or night.
Yes. Hourly hire is €100 an hour from a two-hour minimum, with 40 kilometres an hour included, starting and ending in the same city. Dinner on the Amstel and a concert at the Concertgebouw, with the car waiting in between, is a typical three-hour evening.
We assign by availability, so no single model is guaranteed, but a note reading “S-Class, please” is honoured whenever the roster allows. Whatever arrives is First Class, at the same fixed price.
