We land at Schiphol on King's Day 2027. Can a car get us to our hotel in the center?
Not to the door if the hotel is inside the city center, unless you arrive very early or late. King's Day 2027 falls on Tuesday 27 April 2027, and on the day the entire center is closed to cars from early morning (I amsterdam gives 07:30; Amsterdam's taxi company reported the center ring closed to all cars, taxis included, from 07:00 to 21:00 in 2025). Trams and buses only run to the edge of the center, most central taxi ranks are out of service, and Centraal has no luggage lockers that day. A car can bring you to the nearest open point, or to a hotel outside the ring.

Schiphol to any Amsterdam address is a fixed price per car, with meet and greet inside the arrivals hall and the first 60 minutes of waiting free. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

- Street markets run from 06:00 to 20:00; most outdoor events end at 20:00.
- Metro stations Nieuwmarkt and RAI are closed.
- Trains run a modified timetable from the evening of 26 April and are crowded.
