When is Winter Efteling 2026, and how do we get there from Amsterdam?
Winter Efteling, the winter season of the Dutch theme park, runs from Monday, November 16, 2026, to Sunday, January 31, 2027, usually from at least 11:00 to 18:00. New this winter are De Gladde Piste, a partly covered ice rink, Cirque Miragio, a show of about 20 minutes in the Spiegeltent, and a children's ride, Cirque Papillon. During the Christmas holidays the park stays open until 20:00, except on December 31, and sells evening tickets for the first time; Efteling is about 105 km from Amsterdam, 1 h 31 by car on a clear road.

By the hour: minimum 2 hours, 40 km included per hour, and the day starts and ends in the same city. The driver waits between stops. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

A day of 9 hours: €585 in Business Class, €720 in Van Class for up to 7, €900 in First Class. Staying until 20:00 in the holidays adds two hours.
Crowds
The Dutch Christmas school holidays run from December 19 to January 3, so expect the most visitors then; weekdays in late November and early December are the likely quiet days.
