When is Museum Night Amsterdam 2026, and how do I get home afterwards?
Museumnacht Amsterdam takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 19:00 to 02:00, with museums across the city open late with special programs. Tickets are sold only through the Museum Night Amsterdam website, and I amsterdam notes that the night sells out almost every year, so buy early and avoid tickets offered on other sites. The venues are spread over the city, so plan a few museums close together and book your ride home for a fixed time after closing.

Rides inside Amsterdam up to 10 km have a fixed price per car (€50 in Business Class); a detour around closures does not change it. Longer rides are priced per kilometer and shown before you book. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Getting home after 02:00
- Night buses: GVB runs a night bus network after the trams and metros stop; check the GVB app or 9292 for your stop.
- Taxis: expect a rush at closing time, when every museum empties at once.
- Pre-booked car: pick a meeting point a street away from the busiest venue and a fixed time. Inside Amsterdam up to 10 km the price is fixed at booking: €50 in Business Class.
