Haarlem's Christmas market, one of the largest in the Netherlands, fills the historic center around the Grote Markt from Friday, December 11, to Sunday, December 13, 2026, with about 350 stalls, choirs and live music. It opens 10:30 to 20:00 on Friday and Saturday and 10:30 to 19:00 on Sunday, and entry is free. Haarlem is about 22 km from Amsterdam, 29 minutes by car on a clear road, and direct trains run from Amsterdam Centraal; because the garages fill at weekends, take the train or a drop-off at the edge of the old town.
