How do I visit the Corrie ten Boom House in Haarlem, and how far ahead do I need to book?
Book as soon as your dates are fixed. The museum at Barteljorisstraat 19, the watchmaker's house where the ten Boom family hid Jews and resistance workers, can only be visited on a guided tour, Tuesday to Saturday, in English or Dutch, lasting about an hour, with groups of about a dozen. Tours are free, but they fill months ahead: in October 2026 one traveler found the English tours for 4 to 6 May already full, seven months out. The house is about 22 km from central Amsterdam, roughly 31 minutes by car; a four-hour booking (€260 in Business Class) covers the tour and a walk around the Grote Markt.

By the hour: minimum 2 hours, 40 km included per hour, starting and ending in the same city. The chauffeur waits between stops. Rides outside Amsterdam are priced from the measured road distance (or a fixed route price where one applies) and shown as one fixed price before you book. Prices are per car, not per person, with 9% Dutch VAT included, and the same day and night. During ADE week (pickups October 20 to 26, 2026) fixed ADE-week prices apply, shown before you book; promo codes cannot be used that week. Booked less than 12 hours before pickup: +10%. At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.

Around the tour
The house sits a few minutes' walk from the Grote Markt and the St. Bavo church. On 4 May the Netherlands holds two minutes of silence at 20:00 for Remembrance Day, and 5 May is Liberation Day; both make a visit in early May especially meaningful.

Are there stairs?
Yes: the house has four levels and a small winding staircase, and the museum says it isn't accessible for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties. Guide dogs can't join the tour either.
Can we combine it with Keukenhof in spring?
Yes; Haarlem and Keukenhof are about 26 minutes apart by car.
Is a donation expected?
