When is the Bruges Christmas market 2026, and can I visit from Amsterdam in a day?
Visit Bruges had not published its 2026 Christmas market dates on October 21; travel guides place the markets on the Markt, by the Belfry, and on Simon Stevinplein. Bruges is about 248 km from Amsterdam, 3 h 15 by car on a clear road, so a day trip is long, about 13 hours; many travelers go one way with their luggage instead and stay a night. Sunset in mid December is at about 16:40, so the lights are on by late afternoon.

At an airport or an intercity station the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, elsewhere 15 minutes; after that waiting is charged per minute at the class's hourly rate (Business €65 an hour). Free cancellation up to 1 hour before pickup.
