London is the one European capital where the drive includes a train ride, and it is stranger and calmer than it sounds: the car rolls onto the shuttle at Coquelles, you stay in it, and thirty-five minutes later the doors open in Kent. No terminal, no baggage belt, no separate transfer at either end.
That makes it a good answer when the trip carries more than a cabin bag — a sample collection, a family with pushchairs and car seats, an instrument, or four people whose meeting starts the moment they sit down. It also removes the part travellers dislike most: the hour of shuffling between the arrivals hall at Heathrow and whatever is waiting outside it.

French and British border officers sit side by side at the terminal outside Calais. Checks happen there, before boarding, with everyone staying in the car.
Your chauffeur follows the marshals into the carriage and the doors close behind you. You can stay seated or stretch your legs in the carriage.
There is no view and very little noise. Most guests use the crossing for a phone call before the signal goes, or for coffee from the terminal.
The ramp puts you straight onto the M20. From there it is Kent, the M25 and whichever part of London you asked for.

Yes. The United Kingdom is outside the Schengen Area, so every passenger needs a valid passport, and travellers who are not EU or UK nationals should check the entry rules for their own nationality before the trip. Border checks take place at the terminal in Coquelles before boarding.

The tunnel is our default because it is quicker and far less weather-dependent. If you would rather cross by sea, say so when you book and dispatch will price the itinerary around a sailing instead.
